Congratulations to Jersey City’s Battle of the Books team for earning an impressive 3rd-place finish at the Hudson County Battle of the Books competition.
Representing MS #4, Academy I, and MS #7, students Noah Bennett, Akshith Malladi, Freyja Maru, Kaashwi Shah, Yuvraaj Sapkota, Genesis Rodriguez, and Sawyer Quiroz demonstrated outstanding literary knowledge, teamwork, and critical thinking skills.
To prepare for the competition, the students read 15 books and spent months practicing comprehension questions, analyzing characters and themes, and making connections across texts. Their achievement reflects a deep commitment to reading, collaboration, and academic excellence.
